Contelec’s Vert-X 24 contactless rotary encoder sets a new price/quality standard.
The compact rotary sensor’s appeal lies in its impressive performance features and its modular design, which allows tailor-made rotary encoders to be realized at very attractive prices.
In the standard version with a ratiometric 5 V interface (10–90% operating voltage), the rotary encoder supports angle measurements up to 360° with 12 bit resolution and ±1% linearity in the operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.
The encoder is further enhanced by its compact design, metal slide bearings, a lifespan of at least 20 million movements and its IP67 protection rating.
Vert-X 24 – a rotary encoder with numerous options
The basic version of the Vert-X 24 can be upgraded with a range of options, making it perfect for challenging applications such as servo drives, forklifts, textile machinery or memory position settings in driver’s seats. Available options include semi and fully redundant versions, custom angles from 30° to 360° and improved linearity of ±0.3%.
Simple fitting and adjustment
In addition, numerous mechanical options and variants allow virtually unlimited application possibilities and ensure simple fitting and adjustment. Different shaft sizes are possible, as are versions with plug-in hollow shafts or return springs, enabling hysteresis-free measurements.
The measures that have been taken to ensure simple installation are also worth emphasizing. These include mechanical orientation aids and slots plus pins for torsion-proof mounting.
