Code of Conduct for Suppliers

1. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

Suppliers shall comply with all applicable national and international laws, regulations, directives and standards in the countries in which they operate and in which products or services are delivered.

This Code of Conduct defines minimum requirements only. Compliance with this Code does not release the supplier from its independent obligation to identify, assess and comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and normative requirements.

2. Product, Material and Chemical Compliance

Suppliers shall ensure that all products, materials, components and services supplied to Contelec comply with all applicable product safety, material and chemical regulations of the destination.

This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with applicable material, substance and product-related regulatory requirements such as REACH, RoHS and conflict minerals regulations.

3. Environmental Responsibility

Suppliers shall conduct their operations in an environmentally responsible manner and comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.

4. Human Rights and Labour Standards

Suppliers shall respect internationally recognized human rights and provide fair and lawful working conditions.

5. Occupational Health and Safety

Suppliers shall provide a safe and healthy working environment and comply with all applicable occupational health and safety laws and regulations.

6. Supply Chain Responsibility

Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that their subcontractors and sub-suppliers comply with the principles and requirements of this Code of Conduct.

7. Business Integrity

Suppliers shall comply with all applicable anticorruption and competition laws and shall not engage in corruption, extortion, embezzlement or other unethical business practices.

8. Documentation, Evidence and Notification

Suppliers shall, upon reasonable request, provide appropriate documentation or evidence demonstrating compliance with this Code of Conduct. Any actual or suspected violation shall be reported to Contelec without undue delay.

9. Validity and Updates

This Code of Conduct applies in its current valid version. Updates or revisions become binding upon publication.
